Proclamation and Witness to the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ
The Evangelization and Church Growth program area facilitates the proclamation and witness to the saving grace of Jesus Christ through word, deed, and sacrament in every sphere of human existence.
Our program area works with its various mission partners - including annual and central conferences, autonomous and autonomous-affiliated Methodist churches, other church agencies, and other units of the board-to train leaders, establish relationships and make available resources for church growth and renewal throughout the world.
We Help Churches, Districts, Annual & Central Conferences with:
Congregational Development:
- Starting and developing new congregations
- Revitalizing and Transforming congregations
- Training leadership for congregational development
- Supporting racial-ethnic minority church development
- Supporting multicultural/multiethnic church development
Congregational Mission Initiatives:
- Emerging churches in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America
- Congregation partnerships (In Mission Together)
- Other special initiatives in congregational development
The establishment of faith communities or new churches and the strengthening of existing congregations help Global Ministries meet its first goal, "To make disciples of Jesus Christ," and its second, to "Strengthen, develop and renew Christian congregations and communities." Read more...
