A commissioning service held in Stamford, CT, during the Fall Board meeting of the General Board of Global Ministries, sent 14 persons into new mission assignments .. While the need for funding continues, thankfully some of the critical mission placements are again being filled.
Is Your Congregation in a Covenant Relationship?
The Covenant Relationship Program is the most important channel of support to persons serving in mission. Through The United Methodist Church's connectional system, missionaries receive full support, including their salaries, life and health insurance, and pension benefits ...
Your covenant with a missionary insures that the missionary and her/his ministry is receiving prayers; communication between your congregation and the missionary through newsletters, email, and photographs connect your mission relationship; and the financial gifts that are given on behalf of the missionary sustain and strengthen the presence of persons serving in mission throughout the United States and around the globe.

Since her husband's death in 1998, Mrs. Zahl continues her commitment to mission in remarkable ways.
