Community Demonstration Programs (Models)
SPSARV is committed to identifying existing and developing new models of effective prevention, intervention, treatment and advocacy approaches for clergy and laity. Models, such as its Peer Counseling model used within the African Central Conferences, have been an invaluable resource tool to clergy and lay leadership working in substance abuse ministry.

Grant Awards
SPSARV offers limited funding to ministries of United Methodists and partnering faith-based organizations. Interested persons may download the application from our website or contact the SPSARV office.

Training and Networking:

SPSARV conducts workshops, trainings and networking opportunities throughout the global church. In addition, SPSARV supports various networks including the European Board on Alcohol and Other Drug Concerns (established in 1993) and the African Task Force on Substance Abuse and Related Violence (established in 2005).
