About the African Task Force
The African Task Force was established in May 2005 during a consultation on
substance abuse in Africa, held in Kitwe, Zambia. SPSARV sponsored the event,
titled “Shaping the Future with Hope, Healing and Deliverance.”

the ATF. Task force officers and their annual conferences are:

- Monga Joseph Ilunga, Southwest Katanga, DRC, vice-chairman
- Joao Manuel Da Graca, West Angola, secretary
- Francis Kiharah, East Africa (Kenya), vice-secretary
- Beatrice B.E. Fofanah, Sierra Leone, Treasurer
- The Rev. John Mutombo, North Katanga, DRC, Vice Treasurer
Additional task force members are:
- Elise Nomel Gnagne, Cote D’Ivoire
- The Rev. Kalombo Elunga, Central Congo DRC
- The Rev. Ananias Gomes, East Angola

- The Rev. Jonah Wakili Yukwa, Nigeria.
“I am pleased by the progress the ATF has made since our last meeting
in Senegal,” said Melissa Davis. “Everyone has been moving
forward with our different ministries and touching young lives. I am inspired
by the thoughtfulness and resolve of the ATF members and I know that
they will make a difference in this and future generations.”
Melissa Davis is Director of the (Special) Program on Substance Abuse
