Development and Church Relations Director
McCurdy School in Espanola NM is seeking a Development and Church Relations Director, responsible for managing all activities with donor development and management, relationships with church affiliates and grant writing. McCurdy School serves pre Kindergarten thru 12th grade, focusing on a quality education with a Christian emphasis. McCurdy School is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, and is approaching its Centennial year.
The successful applicant will be the primary interface with faith-based organizations, existing donors, and other relevant stakeholders. Likewise, the successful applicant will be responsible for cultivating new fund development opportunities, including those possible by the internet and computer systems.
Required skills include: demonstrated proficiency in fund development activities, especially in the non-profit environment; demonstrated experience in the philanthropic community; demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated excellence in critical thinking and good judgment; demonstrated ability to work well in partnership with other staff, volunteers and/or other organizations. A service attitude, accountability, follow-through and professional demeanor are needed.
