Individuals partnering with the United Methodist Missionary community through Covenant Relationships
By Covenanting with a missionary, you can extend your commitment to God's mission beyond what you can do alone. Individual Covenant Relationships allow you to support a missionary's work and deepen your own awareness of the struggles and triumphs of the missionary. By participating in the ministry of Global Ministries' missionaries, you strengthen the United Methodist connection, as well as the missionary community, through your gifts and prayers.
Do you have a passion for a particular country or ministry? The Individual Covenant Relationship gives you the freedom to choose the missionary you wish to support. More than 300 Global Ministries missionaries, supported through Covenant Relationships, serve in over 60 countries.
Through your prayers, support and communication with the missionary, your Covenant can become a true partnership. While many missionaries itinerate within conferences and congregations, itineration is not a part of an Individual Covenant Relationship.
Establishing an Individual Covenant Relationship
- Establish an annual financial goal of $500 per year.
- Complete the Covenant Relationship formand submit it to The Advance, General Board of Global Ministries, to establish your partnership.
